ArduCopter 3DR -RTF- Fully featured UAV development platform

This new ArduCopter frame design incorporates several new features. The landing gear are moved further apart making the quad more stable during takeoff and landing. They also allow a wider unobstructed field of view if you mount a camera beneath the main frame. The center platform is wider allowing more room to mount electronics in addition to the space in the stackup. The arms are strong enough to withstand a heavy impact. They extend past the motors to protect them in a sideways collision. It fits the tilt camera mount and comes with a sonar mounting bracket. This vehicle was designed at the 3D Robotics headquarters in San Diego, California.

It comes frame fully assembled* and ready to use, with several options available to customize, such as telemetry and sonar additions.

* LiPo battery and charger:

You can read basic info about LiPo batteries here. Here's one inexpensive source. You'll also need a charger,power supply (if not included with the charger) and some connectors (remember to use same type of connectors on battery, charger and PDB). We recommend 3300 [mAh] 3S 30C-45C batteries for Quads (around 15 min. of flight time) and 5000 [mAh] 3S 30C-45C batteries for hexacopters (around 12 min. of flight time).*Depends on load weight, and throttle usage.

If you ordered the FPV/OSD option, you will need an independent 12V power supply. It comes already with the connector plug XT60 to connect any 3s (11.1V) Lipo battery, any capacity from 1000 [mAh] to 1300 [mAh] will give you around 30-40 mins of power.

* Telemetry Radio:

It is very important that you find out what the local country or region regulations are on frequency, hopping channels and power levels and configure your 3DR Radios correctly for your local rules. More info here.
